How to connect your LinkedIn account to Snov.io (coming soon)

The LinkedIn account connection feature is currently in the beta-testing stage at Snov.io.

We plan to release this feature in one of our upcoming updates. This article offers an overview of the feature, intended primarily for introductory purposes.

Stay tuned for further updates!

As you read this guide, you’ll learn how to connect and set up your LinkedIn account for use with Snov.io’s LinkedIn Automation.

Step 1: Connect LinkedIn account –>

Step 2: Set daily account limits –>

Step 3: Monitor Social Selling Index –>

After connecting your LinkedIn account, you’ll be able to use it for LinkedIn sequences to automate activities such as sending connection requests and messages.

Let’s go over the steps to connect your account:

Step 1: Add LinkedIn account

In your Snov.io Account settings, open the LinkedIn Accounts tab.

To begin, click Add LinkedIn account.

In the pop-up window, enter the email address and password you use to sign in to your LinkedIn account — these details are necessary for Snov.io to connect to your account.

Note: Make sure that you enter the correct Country and City – one that matches the location from which you usually access your LinkedIn account.

We assign a dedicated IP address to your account based on the provided location – this helps to always login from the same country and prevent LinkedIn from flagging your activity as suspicious.

The location parameter cannot be edited later; you can only choose a different location when adding a new account.

Click Connect after filling out all required fields. As we’re establishing the connection with your account, it may take a minute – don’t close the page.

To verify the connection, you may need to enter a verification code. LinkedIn will send this code automatically to your email address, via SMS, or your authenticator app, depending on your two-factor authentication settings.

Enter the code in the pop-up window in Snov.io and click Verify to confirm.

If the time to enter the code runs out, it expires. You can request up to five codes per hour. This limit is a security measure to protect your account.

Step 2: Set daily account limits

After successfully verifying the connection, your account record will appear on the LinkedIn accounts page.

The account’s settings will be pre-configured automatically for optimal performance and safe usage.

You can adjust the daily limits for each connected account separately.

Click on the Edit limits icon to open the account settings page.

As you send LinkedIn sequences, you’ll see an overview of the daily activities performed by your account and its connection status.

Why daily limits are important:

LinkedIn has certain limits in place that apply to various types of activities, including connection requests, sending messages, profile views, and likes.

Exceeding these limits may result in temporary account blocking or restrictions.

To protect your LinkedIn account while you use the automation, Snov.io enables Safety limits mode by default.

This means that your account is allowed to perform a set number of actions daily. Once this limit is reached, the automation will be paused until the following day.

As LinkedIn does not publicly disclose specific daily limits for activities, we use your Social Selling Index (SSI) score as an indicator for the recommended safe limits.

Note: Our research has shown that the safest limit is up to 20 actions per day, which is optimal for securing your account from any restrictions.

The maximum limit for each action is 30; only use the maximum limit with high SSI scores to avoid getting blocked.

Step 3: Monitor your Social Selling Index

The Social Selling Index is the metric LinkedIn uses to rate your account among other LinkedIn users.

This is essentially a reflection of your LinkedIn account’s reputation and performance.

Note: Snov.io automatically detects and updates your SSI as it grows, allowing you to monitor it directly in your account settings and adjust your daily limits accordingly.

It is based on factors such as the size of your network, your current and past activities, and the completeness of your account.

  1. Establish your professional brand: This is based on how complete and informative your personal profile is.
  2. Find the right people: This measures the relevance of your contact network to your profile and your professional field, including factors like skills, job position, educational background.
  3. Engage with insights: This is based on the posts/content you create and the level of engagement it receives from others. As well as your interactions with other profiles (comments, likes, and reposts).
  4. Build relationships: This measures the growth of your network, or how frequently you connect with new profiles.

How the high SSI score improves your engagement possibilities:

  • The higher the score is, the more activities (more connection requests, more messages) your account can perform safely every day.
  • Your profile will be better promoted in search results by job position or among company searches, which means you will get more new connections and grow your network.
  • It reduces the chance of being blocked by LinkedIn.
  • Your posts will be ranked higher up your contact’s feed allowing for better exposure.
